This news follows a fire that erupted at the historic Nottoway Plantation, currently referred to as Nottoway Resort, located in White Castle, Louisiana. Although no injuries were reported, users on social media have propagated rumors and conspiracy theories suggesting that the fire was connected to Annabelle’s exhibition in Louisiana during its paranormal tour. Officials have confirmed that there is no such connection.

The notorious Annabelle doll, which serves as the inspiration for the American horror film series, has mysteriously vanished. Social media platforms are inundated with individuals asserting that the doll disappeared during a paranormal tour.
Origin of the doll
Annabelle is modeled after the Raggedy Anne doll, a character that was created in 1915. This doll featured a triangular nose and hair made from red yarn, and it was housed in the Warrens Occult Museum located in Connecticut. As reported by USA Today, strange occurrences began to unfold around Annabelle in 1970 when a mother bought her as a gift for her daughter. It was believed that the doll was inhabited by the spirit of Annabelle, a young girl who had perished on the premises. The family experienced a series of unsettling events, including Annabelle levitating and even attempting to strangle a family friend.
Edward and Lorraine meet Annabelle
Edward and Lorraine Warren, renowned American paranormal investigators, encountered the doll for the first time when they were summoned to look into the situation. Upon their arrival, they determined that the doll was possessed by a demonic entity. They arranged for a priest to perform an exorcism on the doll and subsequently placed it in their vehicle, during which they encountered mechanical issues, including Annabelle attempting to escape, while they were transporting the doll back to their office. After securing the doll in the museum, the Warrens continued to document various reported incidents involving the doll, such as moving independently, emitting growling sounds, and causing harm to anyone who ridiculed it.
